I almost canceled Psalm's birthday party reservation with Mc Donalds Toril as the assigned crew (whose name I won't mention) messed up the schedule. They were supposed to host Psalm's birthday at the party venue but then another crew accepted another reservation from a big event on the same day. I only availed the mini-birthday-party package (minimum of 10 guests) which is maybe one of the reasons why they prioritized that event over me. I was hurt knowing how important that day was for my daughter. In spite of that, Psalm's birthday was pushed through.

This is what I meant of the mini-birthday-party package. For a minimum of 10 guests, you can avail 10 balloons, 10 hats, 10 loot bags, 10 activity mats plus a party host and candle blowing. For foods, they have four food mixes to choose from depending on your budget.

We occupied the play area exclusive for us where Psalm's guests (mostly children) were having fun playing. The area is small and just enough for guests of 10-15.

My experience with McDonald's was not a total blast, but if you are on a tight budget and wanting a simple party, then I would recommend this mini package from McDonald's.
We know Chesska really loves swimming but we tried to give her some options including Mc Donald's party for her 6th birthday but she insisted to have it on the pool or beach. So our newly-turned-six girl celebrated her birthday at Eagle Ridge Resort, Ulas, just a few minutes drive from where we live. Her wish was granted and here we are!
As you see, we were the only ones who bathe on the resort at that time. It looks like we had an exclusive birthday party. The area is small, just perfectly right for kids.
Chesska was having fun bathing in the pool alone. The pool is safe because it is just only around 3 feet deep.

Hello guys! I now got out from my shell and I hope you miss my post already. I was sick for almost two months and just recovered from some health issues (which I am going to share in a separate post). However, I am not yet completely relieved from my acid reflux as it was my first time to deal with this kind of health issue (eew).
This article has been sitting on my pending posts for a month now because I could barely find a time to complete my write-up as I was soo soo busy then on hunting a yaya, chasing deadlines on my job, and attending healthy seminar workshops which just finished last week.
So Psalm just turned one last September 19 and we had it celebrated at Mergrande Ocean Resort just a few minutes away from us. Normally, we celebrated birthdays at home for my older daughter, Chesska, but I found it very stressful to wash a pile of dishes, mop the floors and clean the house after the event. So we ended up celebrating outside our home. It was not actually a typical children's party with all the clown, a bunch of children, exciting games, or whatsoever. It was just a thanksgiving party! Less grand, less stress. More simple, more meaningful, right?
We rented a room for 1, 800 pesos per day. Apologies, I don't have pictures of the entire room, but it has one room with sala and balcony where we put our decorations. Not so fancy!

It's hard to believe that a little baby whom I carried in my womb for 9 months is now a little lady. |

Psalm and Chesska's Ninang |
My father-in-law who is a former chef cooked all our foods except the lechon. Unfortunately, all of the foods we prepared were food triggers to my acid reflux (poor-self)!
This was the best celebration ever because most of our relatives came despite their busyness and we got to chat casually after a very long time.
I actually digressed from the original plan. We have long planned to go in Samal because Chesska's birthday falls on Saturday - would have been a perfect day - and her favorite outdoor activity is no other than -
swimming all day. However, I was a little skeptical traveling across the city with a 4-month-old baby, which is not convenient at all. So we ended up celebrating at home with simple snacks prepared for children and adults as well. In spite of the simpleness, the celebration was still a
BLAST!
Before I share photos, let's take a look at Chesska's past birthdays from first to fourth - and spot the difference.

A day prior to her birthday, we rushed to SM ( since it was also a rush decision ) just to buy a handful of balloons, loot bags, and her dress as I promised before (great thing I got 50% discount). As you can see her tarpaulin is designed in Little Pony as she's a big fan of it right now. She claimed she is Rainbow Dash while her younger sister, Psalm, is "Spike the Dragon" (poor baby Psalm).
