This is supposedly posted last Summer but I have no time to write for so many reasons. But as the saying goes, never late than never. Right? Since I am in the mood now, I just wanted to share with you our vacation in Manolo Fortich Bukidnon last Summer. Actually, Holy Week Vacations. This was our 3rd time visiting the place with my family. One of the reasons of our frequent visit is my brother is working and living there. He works in Del Monte company which is located in Camp Philips Bukidnon. We love to go there every summer as the weather is cool and relaxing.

Our vacation lasted for one week. See the pictures below where we go from day 1 to day 6.
Camp Philips Compound where Del Monte Employees Live in Colorful Houses for Free

Awed by the Beauty of Sakura Tree - The Cherry Blossom of Bukidnon. Our visit was just in time.

My brother's house

Day 1 - Cagayan de Oro.  No longer part of Bukidnon. It was just a side trip.

Day 2 - Del Monte's Club House

Wide golf course of Del Monte

Still Day 2 - Center of Manolo Fortich

Playhouse for Free

Day 3 - Camp Philips

Day 4 - The Bungalow Restaurant - one of the famous restaurants in Camp Philips, owned by Del Monte

Pinutos Restaurant  - famous in Manolo Fortich

Day 5 - Dahilayan Garden Resort

Outside Dahilayan Adventure Resort

Day 6 - Pineapple Highland Resort - one of the newest resorts in Agusan, Manolo Fortich

This was indeed the most memorable vacation ever with my family.  What I admired about the place is their peaceful community, simple living,  green surroundings, fresh air, friendly people and the list goes on and on. I am looking forward to go back there soon.

My baby was breastfed since birth supplemented with formula.  My baby is now 2 years old, but still,  she is continually breastfed thrice a day (morning before she naps, afternoon, and before bedtime.) In addition to breastfeeding and formula feeding,  she also takes solid foods three times a day like what adults do.  Before I switched to Enfagrow A+, my baby was given first a different formula, however,  I found out that it did not dissolve well in cool water,  and some particles settled at the bottom,  which made me worry if my baby was getting enough nutrients from it. Since then, I change to  Enfagrow A+.

Like all formulas, Enfagrow has also pros and cons.  Based on my observation,  these are my pros and cons for this milk.

Too sad that we weren't able to visit The Villages, also known as the Garden of Eden Restored last December to witness their Christmas Festival. I have been hearing a lot of positive feedback about that event and I regretted a lot. But when my brother-in-law alerted us that The Villages will be celebrating Chinese New Year and Spring Festival, we didn't hesitate to visit a couple of weeks ago.

As soon as we got there and while waiting for the nightly event which is Chinese Parade and Lion Dance (just to mention a few) we explored right away the entire place. Here are our photos.

Upon entering the place, we were greeted right away by the enticing Chinese decors which are in line with the theme. The warmth and hospitality of the people working there were also remarkable. We fell in love right away with the place so we took pictures non-stop.

The Villages features three mansions in blue, yellow and pink.  We feel like we were traveling in another country because the design of the houses looks like Europe-inspired.

Our kids really enjoyed running and chasing each other. The landscape is obviously well-maintained and wherever we go, I've seen lots of staffs doing their designated tasks.

We waited for almost two hours to witness the Chinese Parade which is the highlight of the event.  But it's worth the wait when they turned on the lights simultaneously with a count-down. The night was so surprisingly magical and we've never experienced like this before. Only HERE!
No idle moments had happened because 30 minutes later, they started right away the Dragon Dance Presentation and Chinese Parade.  Watch the full video in my Instagram post.

One thing that really impressed us was the 3D Mapping show (video here). They turned off the lights in the area before they started it but we felt secure because there were plenty of uniformed men watching over the place.  All in all, the production was impeccable.

An event like this is something you shouldn't miss with your family.  We love everything here from the place, people, customer service and foods. Oh yeah, I forgot that they also have food stalls in case you get hungry.

The Villages is located in Tamayong, Calinan, Davao City. It is 11 kilometers from Calinan proper and the road is well-paved and can be accessed easily by small cars or even tricycles. It is owned by Pastor Apollo  Quiboloy, founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Here are the details of the festival:

The CHINESE NEW YEAR & SPRING FESTIVAL 2019 at the Villages is until FEBRUARY 28, 2019.

Featuring:

Lion Dance Performance, Chinese New Year Parade, New 3D Mapping Show, Lighted Lanterns, and many more...

I feel at ease when I came to know Nido is enriched with those nutrients I mentioned.
After my baby tried Nido several times already, I noticed she could poop regularly, knowing that she sometimes gets constipated. I would probably attribute this to the Prebiotic content present in the milk. (first-time mom)

my son is 1 year 1 month old now. he's taking enfagrow a+. i've tried it and i find it really sweet. i'll try nido jr sa kanya, maganda kasi mga reviews na nakita ko. and napansin ko kasi, medyo naging watery poopoo niya sa enfagrow a+ and 5 to 6 times siya mag poopoo a day...kawawa naman. i do hope maganda effect na kanya ng nido jr. I shifted her milk formula primarily because I needed to cut down on my expenses. I didn’t have to worry because I know that it is packed with calories, vitamins, and minerals which serves as a complete meal for toddlers. I am happy that even though my daughter eats little portions she is well-nourished and her growth is never compromised. (source)

I am a budget-conscious person and since I am a single mom I have to make sure that I provide all the needs of my daughter and I am happy with Nido Jr. because even if it is a lot cheaper than the other competing brands it is a healthy formula and supplement for my daughter. (source)

My cousin is a Nido kid. His mother can't breastfeed him so he is into formula milk and Nido Junior seems to be the best milk for h because aside from being a bit chubby, he is also very active. (source)

Can you believe it’s 2019 and we’re already ending January? Time flies so fast when you are a busy, working mother of young kids like me.

In addition to my busyness, I have been updating myself of what's happening in the world through social media and one thing that caught my attention was what others were sharing on their status, and that's about #onewordfor2019. To keep up with the trend, I write mine here on my blog (should have written this early January, hehe)

What would this be?
My one word is as the same as others that I came across online, and it's the word PATIENCE! And I repeat PATIENCE.

I've encountered a bunch of situations where my patience is being tested. One of which is waiting for others.  For example, when my relatives and I agreed to meet up for an outing and when they arrived late, I easily got upset. I don't like waiting for others especially when I know I am on time.

When it comes to my kids, I am impatient at times too. Most especially when they don't listen to me and seem to disregard my teachings. I also got angry easily when they misbehave and distract me at work.

In terms of being a wife to my husband, I am sometimes moody, cold and not a good listener. I easily get irritated when things don't turn out well as I want it to be.

There are actually other things that I become impatient of  (which I won't mention) and I already feel ashamed for being one.

Over the years, I've felt like I am being swallowed by this negative attitude which may have ruined my relationship with my family and others.  I have been praying hard that through God's grace, I will practice patience in all aspects of my life this year 2019. So help me God!
