Over a year ago, my family, together with our friend, took a short trip to the quiet and small town of Vanderhoof, which is just a few hours away from Prince George, where we live. I know this post is long overdue, but I am still excited to share it because I wanted to showcase the beauty and rich culture of Vanderhoof.
First, we strolled around the Vanderhoof Community Site, which features restored old buildings like the Royal Bank of Canada, Ok Hotel and Cafe, where you can stop for a snack, Smitters House, along with the other amazing historical displays, which will take you back in the olden time.

After strolling around the community sites, we got inside the Tourism and Cultural Center to see what the museum looked like.

Visiting Vanderhoof felt like going back in time. The old buildings and the stories behind them gave us a better idea of what life was like in the past. It's a quiet town, but it has a lot of history to share. If you're ever near Prince George, I really recommend stopping by Vanderhoof. It's a great place to learn something new and take some nice photos too.
