It's actually a super late post! This should have been posted last September but since we just arrived in Canada during that time, I could not update my blog regularly. As the saying goes, "Better Late Than Never", right? That's why I wrote this blog post. Every year, it's always my habit to blog about my daughters' birthdays; so whenever I get bored, I just go to my blog and read my previous post. I love recalling our memories.
Here's what happened during the birthday of Psalm. I took a picture of her to remember how she looked as she turned 7.
Then, we took her to McDonald's to celebrate her birthday and order her favorite foods. We didn't know anyone yet here in Prince George so we didn't prepare a party for her or cook some food. On top of that, we were also tightening our belts as my husband and I were still jobless at that time. Despite all of that, I thanked God for giving her another year to experience the life she wanted to be.
Each of my kid's birthdays is important to my heart because it's the day when I celebrate their progress and milestones in life. I also feel grateful for all the opportunities for being their mother despite my imperfections. Chesska turning 11 feels like time did not really slow down, and I cannot believe that our little girl is growing so fast.
My love for this girl is huge though sometimes we clashed because she didn't listen many times (haha)! In spite of that, Chesska is creative, especially at drawing, loves to pet fish, and she is such a wonderful big sister to her little sister Psalm. Although sometimes, she's not patient with her, she gives way most of the time when her sister is annoying (hehe).
So over a month ago, we had just a simple 11th birthday celebration. It was simple yet it was a huge way to show her how special she is to our family. We prepared her favorite foods and invited her cousin close to her heart.
Since she turned 11, I've seen a lot of changes in her, especially the way she dresses up. She loves trendy clothes and is curious about the physical changes she has noticed. It looks like I am not yet ready to embrace the changes in her because for me she's still my baby (hehe). But I know deep inside my heart that this change will come. I am grateful to God, for giving me an opportunity to raise the kind of girl that He wants her to be.
Just like that! I officially have a 6-year-old Kindergartener. Why does time fly so fast? Time has to really slow down because as she gets older, I get older too. 😀 Kidding aside, I am beyond grateful to see her grow healthy, smart, and unique. Yes, she's unique because when I asked her one time what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said she didn't want to grow up. She just wanted to stay young. She's also a little funny because when I asked her, where do you study (review lessons on language subject)? , she answered I study on the computer, playing games 😀😀😀.
She used to be shy in the past years, but to my surprise, she can get along easily with her other classmates since she started school. She is confident and loves to go to school every day. During the online class, she loves to participate even if her tongue twists whenever she talks and gets upset when the teacher won't call her.
I love that her favorite color is purple and loves all things unicorns. At bedtime, she likes to place all her stuffed toys above her pillow while her head is underneath the pillow. She's a bit weird. But I love to see her progress as time goes by. I know that there are a lot of things for her to learn and explore as she grows up. I know God has a beautiful future in store for her. So I claim more blessings, abundance, and a bright future for her, in Jesus name. Amen.
Over the past 10 years, I've been blessed enough to focus on taking care of Chesska. And it’s been a great experience to see her grow from being a clingy baby to a cranky toddler, to a timid preschooler (as she often cried in school), and now into a young lady who surprisingly begins to shine and bloom in her God-given talent.
I am in awe as I watch her overcome her preschool years, become an independent learner, become a responsible sister to her younger sibling, and most of all enjoy what she loves doing such as creating comic strips, editing animated videos, as well as playing Minecraft and Roblox which I can't relate. 😁😁
I just can't believe that she's now 10 years old, and for that, I am eternally thankful to God for guiding, blessing, and protecting her up to this day.
I am thrilled to see what God has in store for her future and I am confident that it'll be amazing.

I couldn't believe Psalm just turned 4 last month. How time really flies!
Psalm's birthday was the most simple one because it so happened during this time of crisis. Aside from that, we are not allowed to celebrate in a big crowd so we decided to just invite a few relatives close to us.
She chose Harry Potter herself as her birthday theme. It was kind of strange because I was expecting she would choose a unicorn or princess theme. But since we started watching the 7 episodes of the Harry Potter movie, she became a huge fan of it. As a matter of fact, even before her birthday came, she kept requesting me to buy cake, toys, and clothes with the characters of Harry Potter in it. So without further ado, I would like to share with you our pictures.
Chesska's 19th Video is now up on her YouTube Channel. The video's quality is not as impressive as other's popular video. I am still practicing. Well, this is already good for the novice. 😁😁😁😁.
I've managed to juggle different roles: as a mother, wife, teacher to my children, VA, and follower of Christ. Everything falls into place with 100% satisfaction, no regrets so far.
