It was a dream come true. Who wouldn't want to touch snow in real life, right? Living in a tropical area like the Philippines, touching real snow has always been our dream. So to be standing here above the thick snow is never in my wildest dreams. I usually see this in the movies.
By the way, our first snowfall experience happened last year in October. We noticed small snowflakes falling from the clouds and they looked so magical. I remember my kids catching the snowfall and gathering them to make a snowman. But during that time, October was just the start of the winter season and the snow was on and off. Here in the city of Prince George, the winter season lasts for almost 6 months but they say the real winter season really starts in January when it snows almost non-stop.
It was in February this year, if my memory is right when we were finally able to go sledding because the snow was really thick on the ground. We went to Rainbow Park where there was an area perfect for sledding. Please see our photos below.
We enjoyed sledding and going up the slope to sled again. We enjoyed the company of some of our Filipino friends.

These are just a few of our winter stories, and I hope you enjoyed reading about our adventures. There’s more to come, so stay tuned for future posts. See you soon!
